We are a custom concrete pool and spa builder located in York, South Carolina. Our owner, Andy Smith, has been building pools since 1973 and has management experience in pool manufacturing and distribution as well as management experience in both pool construction and design .

As pool equipment and processes have improved over the years, quality construction materials, quality workmanship and quality supervision must still go into each pool project in order to insure a quality finished product. Carolina Custom pools uses a stronger rebar design than most builders and we use shotcrete (mixed at the concrete plant) as opposed to cheaper gunite (mixed from a dry truck at the job site) to insure uniform strength throughout the pool shell.

Our shells have a limited lifetime warranty that far surpasses that offered by vinyl and fiberglass dealers. Our pool finishes include the premium Pebble-tec finishes that carry a 15 year warranty.

We use Pentair filtration and two speed pumps for higher performance and energy savings. All of our plumbing is separate 2″ PVC for higher efficiency and flow capabilities. We offer salt sanitation systems as well as the latest computer controlled interfaces with hand-held remotes.

Our pool area lighting includes multi-colored L.E.D. lighting as well as area lighting for feature enhancement. Our pool features include rock waterfalls, raised wall sheer waterfalls, deck jets and laminar jets. Many of our designs include tanning shelves, rock ledges and diving rocks. We offer full landscape and hardscape services as well as cabanas and other pool area structures.
